Autumn is approaching and for many, this means it’s the best time to complement your wardrobe with new things that will be reliable companions for you during this coming season.
For clothes designed for autumn, a characteristic requirement for significant heat preservation is a must, at the same time being comfortable and stylish.
For the fall, jeans of medium or slightly higher density will be more suitable. Finally it’s time to wear your favorite tight denim without suffering from the heat- and get amazing fades in the meantime:)
At the same time, it’s also the perfect situation to get out the tops. For autumn weather, denim jackets and solid knitwear in the form of sweaters or hoodies are all very suitable.
And so here we have a wide range of denimwear that will (hopefully!) get you through this fall:)
Let’s start with the basics of each denimhead wardrobe – the jeans themselves 🙂
This rather new brand is the fruit of cooperation between experienced and well-known jean manufacturers, which still try to adhere to anonymity. At the heart of Tanuki‘s philosophy is the desire to make the highest quality jeans while combining all the best that Japanese denim has to offer into modern shapes and silhouettes. In the most concise form, this is expressed in the logo of the brand «Ni» (二) , where the lower broad band symbolizes tradition, and the upper narrower band symbolizes the development of these traditions in modern interpretation.
With regard directly to the model NT1 (Natural Tapered), here we see a modern popular narrowed silhouette. These jeans are painted with natural indigo rope way (which in itself already brings this model to a very high level). The denim texture has both characteristic hairiness and some slubby effect.
The company Samurai Jeans does not need any special introduction. For many denimheads from around the world, jeans of this brand are a real symbol of Japanese denim. Model S711VX has a rather narrow silhouette, while the trousers remain straight.
Zero denim (labeled VX) is one of the main species used by Samurai. It has a fairly high density of 17OZ, woven from cotton grades with short fiber. This allows you to get a rigid, non-uniform line along the entire length of the thread. Because the thread doesn’t stain deeply, we usually regard this piece as a very fast fade that pairs well with the slubby texture. Details play a huge part – for most jeans of this brand, there is a leather patch with the image of fencers, embroidered arches on the back pockets and a red tab, all highlighting the perfect spots of your trousers.
The company Studio D’Artisan (SDA) is one of the oldest manufacturing jeans factory since 1979, a part of the so-called “five from Osaka.” Model SD-303 is a heavier version of the model SD-103, which is already well known to many fans of Japanese jeans.
SD-303 has a straight cut, and despite the name, the style of these jeans isn’t very narrow, but rather medium so it won’t be too fitting or tight.
A hard-woven 18.5OZ denim is used for this one. Unlike Tanuki or Samurai, SDA prefers to use for their jeans a flat denim without a slubby-texture, but with a pronounced hairiness. Such a denim gets a fade very slowly, but the fade of such jeans will be deep and beautiful, with a gradual transition from darker shades of indigo to lighter. The 300 series SDA uses a chic patch made of very thick brown leather.
As much as we like jeans, sometimes variation is still welcome. Here are some examples of excellent trousers that will fit perfectly into your everyday style.
This is the “automotive” series of Samurai Jeans. This collection is inspired by the equipment of racing drivers and technicians of the past. These pants are more durable due to the use of material with 15OZ density and additional lining on the knees.
These are, in fact, just jeans made out of tight 17OZ denim with additional reinforcing lining on the knees. You will still get the usual fading and all details, including these pads, will appear more clearly and with better contrast.
Tokyo company ENTRY SG specializes in the production of very high quality knitwear. In addition to excellent hoodies, sweatshirts and T-shirts are produced and, of course, the fabled knitted trousers. For their production, soft recycled cotton is used. During the work of knitting machines, the thinnest cotton fibers settle on the equipment. They are carefully collected and restarted into production. It is from these fibers that the softest and most comfortable pair of pants was created.
Variable autumn weather often requires wearing clothes that reliably protect from the wind, will be comfortable and convenient
We have an excellent example of a modern view of the classics. In this case it is a modernized Type II jacket. The appearance of this model is the fruit of a close cooperation of the Denimio store and Momotaro Jeans. The main innovation for this jacket was the use of slotted pockets for hands that were not used for the classic version of Type II. In this case, the task was not to make the jacket as close as possible to the historical authenticity, but to give it additional convenience and functionality. It uses the traditional Momotaro 15.7OZ denim from long-staple Zimbabwean cotton. Such raw materials make it possible to obtain a very soft material with an even texture. As an interesting detail of this issue, you can note the top gold button.
For those who are closer to the historical heritage, certainly like a shirt in the western style of the TCB. For the things of this manufacturer is characterized by proximity to history and attention to the smallest details. This shirt has a slightly modernized silhouette with all other authentic details and sewn on really old sewing equipment, Union Special.
One of the most practical, versatile and durable items of the autumn wardrobe is of course the cotton sweatshirt. Yes, The Strike Gold is known primarily for its jeans of a very expressive denim. However, the “top” department of this brand is also executed at the highest level. Here we use loopwheeled knitwear. Such equipment is distinguished by the absence of seams on the sides. In addition, such a cloth is extremely soft and comfortable to wear due to the fact that the thread does not undergo tension during the manufacture of the web.
In our daily life, we often need many useful “little things.” Backpacks, bags, belts or even just good pair of socks-and it’s overwhelmingly pleasant and convenient if such things are of a very high quality and styled exactly with the denim style we love.
This is a very unusual “mix” of a bag and a backpack made of denim. The backpack has a rolltop system that allows you to adjust the required volume. Fastens on a fastex plastic fastener. Thanks to two large handles at the top, the backpack is also a perfect hand-carry bag.
This baseball cap is anything if not ordinary. This is a limited collaboration between the Denimio store and Studio D’Artisan. According to the plan, all proceeds from the sale of this issue go to charity (in this case it is about helping disadvantaged children). A great cap and charity in the works- what’s not to love?
For the material, the classic 15OZ denim is used, which is known for 103, 107 and 101 jeans models from Studio D’Artisan. On the front side there is a very noticeable symbolism of the Denimio store and Studio D’Artisan.
The company NISHIGUCHI KUTSUSHITA has been manufacturing socks since the distant 1950s.
It uses exactly the same unhurried crafting method of production when creating a good pair of jeans. NISHIGUCHI KUTSUSHITA uses very high quality raw materials, antique original equipment and methods of yarn-dyeing process, which are completely uncharacteristic for mass production.
These socks are made of a mix of cotton and hemp. So we get a very nice comfortable fabric. Having bought one pair, you will certainly want to take more. Just as a side note, these are one of the best socks that I will want to wear with a pair of heavy shoes 🙂
The weather varies a lot in autumn and we are unlikely to manage one pair of shoes for all occasions. Heavy boots in “working styles” or light sneakers – any one will suffice.
If you are looking for shoes made of the best materials and with the most uncompromising quality, these are a pair you should definitely pay attention to.
ROLLING DUB TRIO. These boots are made of thick and soft suede, which will just look better over the years. The sole is made of a mixture of cork and rubber in order to reduce the weight of the shoes.
Another collaboration. For Kato, these laconic black sneakers were manufactured by Moonstar, which specializes in the production of vulcanized shoes. When it comes to making soles, Moonstar compares his work with pottery. Outwardly these are very simple monochrome sneakers, however, they are likely to last much longer than it might seem at first
Here we have sneakers from Samurai jeans from the same “car” series, which was mentioned above. For the production of these sneakers, an ancient method of vulcanization of the sole is used, which requires a long time and a lot of manual operations. This approach of production allows us to achieve exceptional strength and durability of the soles. The top is made of high-quality soft suede. Three different colors are available.
To the dearest fans of Japanese denim, we hope this autumn look-book collection will help you pick out your season style- and why not tag us in the pic when you’re at it?;)
