S510SXJ-IDY Shinsengumi Ikedaya
Talked about in the famous anime Rurouni Kenshin, the Ikedaya incident happened at the end of the Edo period, when at that time, political chaos ensued. With masterless ronin and the Bakufu force: Shinsengumi. One of the most famous incidents between Shinsengumi and the masterless ronins happened in Ikedaya Inn, located in Kyoto, Japan. This fabric not only told the history but also how Japanese denim got incorporated into its story.

The first in its type, Samurai Jeans indigo-dyed a special roll of denim in 18 oz. The rough and neps, the unevenness will be more evident as it got washed. Designed with many features that focus on ‘Mitsuhide Akechi & the Honnō-ji incident’, including a slake with a total battle pattern. It is finished with intriguing stitching on the hip pockets with the image of light blue bellflower, sewn with black bottom thread that expresses good luck and bad luck, and black pine tree buttons ⏤ a sweet addition to these limited edition jeans. You can enjoy the powerful color fading and slubby characteristic of heavy denim.
The limited jeans “Honnoji” using 25oz special selvedge denim based on regular straight S510XX which is a strange model. Focusing on “Akechi Mitsuhide, the well-selected general who scattered between the loyal retainers and the rebels”. Including the slake of the battle machine pattern. Samurai Jeans has incorporated the specifications that they have made. The back pockets have decorative stitching inspired by the light blue machine, bobbin thread expressing “Good Luck”. Inspired by the colorful uniform of Shinsengumi ⏤ the slake is printed with the armband that resembled their uniform. The buttons are inspired by the Cherry Blossoms in the Mibuji Temple where Shinsengumi usually stayed. Reinforcement stitching on the back pockets is reinforced with white & Asagi threads and these threads are used throughout the jeans. Adopted from the S710 cut, one of the most famous cuts Samurai Jeans ever had.
